Following up on this post, challengers to the North Carolina voting rules have filed this response opposing an interim stay.

Given that it is past 5 pm Friday on the East Coast, election officials in NC likely will not do too much over the weekend, and a response is already due from the challengers on Sunday, we may not hear anything at all until the Chief Justice or the Court rules on the overall stay request—perhaps as soon as Monday.
