“Wisconsin election officials want to revive ‘critical’ plan”

Harm Venhuizen (Associated Press): The Republican chair of the Bipartisan Wisconsin Elections Commission remains determined to restore confidence in Wisconsin’s elections. This despite a set back last week for a bipartisan plan that would have funded a new division designed to handle voters’ concerns and record requests. Wisconsin’s Republic legislature rejected the funding request, part of Democratic Governor Tony Evers’ budget package, by one vote.

“The move is contrary to other battleground states that are taking steps to invest in trust in elections ahead of the 2024 presidential race.”
