The newly-revamped and infinitely more user-friendly (but still subscriber-only) Roll Call website reported on its First Draft: Senate blog the following news: a dispute unrelated to the FEC nominations process caused Sen. Alexander to put a hold on a package of nominations, including nominations to the FEC. I cannot tell if there will be another opportunity Friday for a vote. I don’t know when exactly the Senate recesses. (And of course it won’t formally recess. Sen Webb will be back for pro forma sessions, to prevent President Bush from making any recess appointments.)
