Less than three months after reporting to a federal prison to serve time on a public corruption charge, former Charlotte Mayor Patrick Cannon has been indicted for voter fraud.
The new state charge stems from Election Day in November, when Cannon admits he cast a vote even though his federal bribery conviction made him ineligible to vote
