The Denver Post offers this report, which begins: “Federal officials Thursday asked the president of a Denver company that tests voting machines to avoid activities that create the appearance of conflicts of interest.” Here is the EAC’s statement, “EAC Statement Regarding Partisan Political Activities by Voting Machine Manufacturers and Testing Labs and their Employees.” Former EAC commissioner Ray Martinez had suggested broader conflict of interest rules in this Election Law Journal forum piece.
