New Mexico Lawmaker Floats Re-redistricting Wilson Seat, which begins: “New Mexico Democrats, frustrated by their inability to defeat Rep. Heather Wilson (R-N.M.), now are openly talking about redrawing the state’s Congressional district boundaries prior to the 2008 elections.”
FEC Elevates Lenhard to Chairman, Unveils New Web Database. On the database, the newspaper explains: “At Thursday’s meeting, FEC staff also demonstrated a new advisory opinion database scheduled for release on the agency’s Web site in late February. Users of the new database will be able to browse online legal guidance made by the commission and its lawyers by, among others, searching keywords, case numbers, years and requesters’ names, said deputy staff director Alec Palmer.”
