Now that Justice Stevens and Justice Souter have left the Court, the party alignment which has taken place in the Nation appears to have taken place in the Court as well.  Today’s Arizona opinion was a party line vote: the five Justices appointed by Republican presidents voted to strike down Arizona’s law; the four appointed by Democrats voted to uphold it.
