Schumer-van Hollen to Drop Tomorrow, With Another Republican Sponsor in the House, But Apparently No Republican Senators

Congressman Walter Jones (R-NC) joins Rep. Castle as a Republican supporter of the new legislation.
Without any apparent Republican Senate support, however, there’s a more fundamental question than whether the bill is really “bipartisan.” The more fundamental question is how a bill would get past Senator McConnell’s filibuster. My guess is that the bill in its current form cannot, and that may suit Democrats just fine right now. The Goldman Sucks era is a good time to be running against corporations.
