“Spring 2010 Symposium Helping America Vote: The Past, Present, and Future of Election Administration”

NYU’s Journal of Legislation and Public Policy is putting on this symposium next week. Here is a brief description:

The NYU Journal of Legislation and Public Policy is pleased to announce an upcoming symposium, entitled, “Helping America Vote: The Past, Present, and Future of Election Administration.” The symposium, hosted in partnership with The Brennan Center for Justice at NYU, will focus on legislative reforms to improve the current system of elections–including voter registration, voting technology, ballot design, voter ID laws, and the selection of election officials. The 2008 election season brought an unprecedented level of attention to the system of election administration in this country, and as we move into the 2010 election cycle, these issues will again be at the forefront of public debate. The symposium will be a day-long event on Thursday, April 1st, 2010, and is open to the public. In addition, there are 6.5 CLE credit hours available for full day attendance. We look forward to an exciting event and hope you will be able to join us. For more information, and to RSVP, please visit us at: http://www.law.nyu.edu/journals/legislation/symposia/spring2010/index.htm.

I am sorry I won’t be able to attend this terrific event.
