Capital Notes suggests the tack is to focus on the costs of having redistricting done by the commission. That may be smart politics, but I’m sure that’s not what’s motivating Dan and whoever else (I would guess organized Democratic party interests) is behind this new measure: it is to keep the power with the (Democratically-controlled) legislature.
