“Before the Ballot Box, Americans with Disabilities Have Problems Getting Voting Information”

This USA Today article describes the U.S. Election Assistance Commission’s survey of voters with disabilities released today.  An estimated 47.2 million voters in the United States have disabilities.  One of the study’s most significant findings is that fifteen percent of voters with disabilities do not have internet.  (In contrast, five percent of people without disabilities do not have internet.)  Internet users were more likely to vote in 2022 than those without internet.  As more restrictive voting measures go into effect, voters with disabilities will encounter increasing challenges in accessing information about the ballot.
