In this New York Times article from last week, Maggie Haberman chronicles a Democratic super PAC’s lawsuit against the Federal Election Commission.  The PAC, American Bridge, seeks to compel the FEC to take action within thirty days against former President Trump for acting like a 2024 presidential candidate without filing a statement of candidacy.

“‘The goal and effect of Mr. Trump’s efforts is to disguise his run for the presidency,’ the suit reads, leaving the group and voters ‘in the dark about the contributions and expenditures he has received, which is information they are entitled to.’”
