I have no inside information, but that seems to be the usual opinion day. In the usual course, litigants are told of the release the Monday before. But “[i]n certain time-sensitive cases, the Supreme Court may issue opinions or orders on a business day other than Thursday. In these instances, involved parties will be contacted just prior to the special release.”
