Ron Wyden Rejects Idea (Which I’ve Endorsed) For Congress to Mandate Expanded Vote-by-Mail for This November ONLY

I’ve said that in the middle of a pandemic, we should come together on election reforms we need now, and bracket changes that should be made in the future. I think you’d get a lot more bipartisan buy-in with such an approach.

Larry Lessig asked Sen. Wyden (who has proposed permanent changes in vote by mail, among other things) about that idea on Larry’s podcast. Wyden was uninterested. Listen beginning around the 17-minute mark.
