Bloomberg BNA: “The liberal group Democracy for America (DFA) said April 3 that it was launching a campaign to urge state attorneys general across the country to sign onto a friend-of-the-court brief. The brief would support the position of Montana Attorney General Steve Bullock that his state can maintain restrictions on corporate campaign money despite the Citizens United ruling….The statement said Bullock supported DFA’s efforts, quoting him as saying that the Citizens United decision “opened the door to unlimited corporate spending in our national elections, and state and local elections could be the next to fall.”
