The election is over, but the seven-figure candlelight dinners are back.
Make America Great Again, Inc., the super PAC that spent more than $450 million to elect Donald Trump this year, will host another “candlelight” meal with the president-elect next week at his Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida. The price of entry for the event on Dec. 19: “1,000,000 PER PERSON,” according to a copy of the invite obtained by The Washington Post.
Wealthy donors drawn to dim lighting can take advantage of a second opportunity exactly one month later, when the Trump Vance Inaugural Committee holds another “candlelight dinner” with Trump and his wife, Melania, in Washington on Jan. 19, the evening before his inauguration.
Supporters who give $1 million or raise $2 million are guaranteed six tickets with “preferred seating at this pinnacle event,” according to another invitation circulated by the Inaugural Committee. They also get two tickets to a more exclusive “intimate dinner” with Vice President-elect JD Vance and his wife Usha the night before, tickets to an earlier “Cabinet Reception” with Trump’s nominees as well as invites to stay in “select” hotels and other events, including the swearing in ceremony, Pennsylvania Avenue parade and “Starlight Ball” on Jan. 20.
