Democratic, Republican fundraising for election litigation hits $70 million in 15 months of 2023-24 election cycle, up from $45 million in 2020 (but down from $101 million in 2022)

Continuing my occasional look at fundraising earmarked for election litigation, the first 15 months of this election cycle show more than $70 million fundraised earmarked for election litigation. That’s an increase from four years ago when it was nearly $45 million at a comparable stage of the presidential election cycle. But it’s down from the whopping $101 million raised in an off-presidential election cycle, 2021-22. The biggest reversal of fortune is the Democratic National Committee, which had $35 million at this stage two years ago but $9.7 million now. The Senate and House arms saw significant growth this cycle over last.

Here are the totals so far.

DNC: $9,713,674

RNC: $15,103,337

DSCC: $9,978,438

NRSC: $12,559,712

DCCC: $10,966,508

NRCC: $12,142,498

Democratic National Party Totals: $30,658,620

Republican National Party Totals: $39,805,547

(Other: $519)

Grand Total: $70,464,686
