Alabama: “After boos at Trump rally, Brooks vows to fight ‘Socialist Democrat voter fraud’”

AL.com:

After getting booed at a Donald Trump rally for suggesting that supporters put the 2020 election behind them, U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks has made it a point to reassert claims that fraud robbed Trump of re-election.

Trump drew an energetic crowd to a rally in Cullman on Saturday evening, with Sen. Tommy Tuberville describing it as “Trumpstock.” Brooks, like Tuberville, spoke before the former president. The congressman, who has been endorsed by Trump in his bid to take the Senate seat of retiring incumbent Richard Shelby, repeated unsubstantiated claims that fraud drove Joe Biden’s victory.

However, Brooks ran afoul of a portion of the crowd when he suggested that supporters should put 2020 behind them. That line of thought drew boos, and eventually the booing led Brooks to backpedal somewhat. “All right, well, look back at it, but go forward and take advantage of it,” he said. “We have got to win in 2022. We’ve got to win in 2024.”
