Jack Shafer, now at Reuters, takes on Ari Berman’s recent “GOP War on Voting” piece.  I think Jack is right that Ari’s piece is somewhat breathless and overstates the extent of Republican voter suppression, but Jack’s counter-evidence of “real” voter fraud is hardly impressive.  I delve into what’s real fraud and what’s a Democratic exaggeration of voter suppression in my forthcoming book.
