It would have been refreshing if the group acknowledged that its very existence was a stain on the executive branch, and that its willingness to exploit the post-Citizens-United world by accepting unlimited donations set a terrible precedent for all future administrations.
Instead, it’s simply taking a breather on the bench while other Democratic bag men run the field. After this year’s elections it will be back, with hands out and lessons unlearned.
