“RNC cuts ties to firm after voter fraud allegations”

LA Times: “In Florida, the state party fired the firm on Tuesday after election workers in Palm Beach County discovered numerous registration forms that appeared to be filled out in the same handwriting, some including wrong addresses and birthdays. Some of the forms switched addresses and party registrations, including changes from Democratic or independent to Republican, said county elections supervisor Susan Bucher.”

NBC News:

Sproul, in a telephone interview, said the reports of possible fraud in other Florida counties were isolated acts by individuals hired by the firm — and paid between $12 and $16 an hour to register new voters.

He also sharply criticized the Florida Republican Party for initially firing him, and said that the RNC had “no choice” but to do the same once the state party had acted.

“The Florida Republican Party knew the facts and acted in a likely libelous manner against our company,” Sproul said. “In the case of the RNC, they had no choice to do what they did. They’re trying to get the distraction behind them.”
