Pew Conference on Registration

The Pew Center on the States is hosting a conference (July 14; 10am to 4pm in room 4202 of the California State Capitol) for policymakers, legislative staff, election administrators and advocates to discuss the need for improving the voter registration process in the state of California. This one-day conference will feature dynamic panel discussions with respected leaders on the need to bring California’s voter registration system into the 21st century to better serve all Californians. More than a dozen guest speakers will cover topics ranging from the potential for technology to improve the way California maintains and updates its voter rolls to a discussion of the role of voter registration in the democratic process.
