“Public Financing: One Step Up Or Two Steps Back? Supreme Court Ruling In Arizona Case Is A Blow To Public Funding Advocates, But It’s Not Fatal”

Eliza’s latest. This is focused mostly on FENA, but it also mentions that an adverse ruling in McComish would not affect the presidential public financing system. True enough, but that system is dead. I am willing to predict that (assuming Congress does nothing to change the public financing system) no serious candidate will use the public financing system in the primary unless the candidate is having a very hard time with private fundraising, and that the two general election nominees will opt out of the public financing system.
