“On Message: Voter Persuasion in the 2008 Election”

The University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg Center and FactCheck.org are hosting this conference on December 12, 2008 at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. Here’s the description:

The candidates were not the only ones trying to sway voters in the 2008 presidential election. Independent groups on both the left and the right — as well as the national political parties — weighed in with tens of millions of dollars’ worth of TV and radio ads, phone calls and direct mail. Where did the money go? What were the strategies? Were voters actually persuaded? What’s the evidence?

It’s open to the public and admission is free.
