Election Law Prof Spencer Overton Involved in Vetting U.S. Attorneys and Judges

So reports Legal Times ($). The report begins: "President Barack Obama has yet to announce a nominee to lead the Justice Department's Office of Legal Policy, which plays a key role in the judicial and U.S. attorney selection process. But the office's top political deputies, George Washington University law professor Spencer Overton and former Mayer Brown partner Raj De are already grinding away. Overton, whose specialities include voting rights and campaign finance, has been appointed principal deputy assistant attorney general; and De, the former counsel to the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, has been tapped as deputy assistant attorney general."
