April 10, 2007"Panel Said to Alter Finding on Voter Fraud"The NY Times offers this front page report, which begins: "A federal panel responsible for conducting election research played down the findings of experts who concluded last year that there was little voter fraud around the nation, according to a review of the original report obtained by The New York Times." The Times has posted the draft report here. You can find my earlier coverage and commentary on issues related to the EAC and voter fraud/voter identification here.
The Commission takes input and constructive criticism from Congress and the public very seriously. We will take a hard look at the way we do business. Specifically, we will examine both the manner in which we have awarded contracts and our decision-making process regarding the release of research and reports. The EAC takes its mandates very seriously, and we will continue to move forward in a bipartisan way to improve the way America votes. Posted by Rick Hasen at April 10, 2007 09:27 PM |
