"Write-in candidate won, judge rules"

The Philadelpia Inquirer offers this report of a decision by a judge to count write-in votes listed in the wrong space on the ballot, leading to the overturning of election results. The judge followed the apparent intent of the voters, the opposite of what the courts did when a similar issue arose recently in the San Diego mayor's race.
