“Rep. John Delaney files FEC complaint over super PAC funded by opponent’s spouse”

Baltimore Sun:

Rep. John Delaney’s campaign has filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission over a super PAC funded by his opponent’s spouse — an unusual arrangement the congressman said violates rules barring outside groups from coordinating with a candidate.

Maryland USA, created last summer, has spent $1.5 million supporting Republican Amie Hoeber’s run for the state’s 6th Congressional District. Virtually all of that money has come from a single donor: Mark Epstein, who is Hoeber’s husband.
