“FEC Rulemaking After WRTL Opinion Focuses on Disclosure of Ad Funding”

Following up on this post, BNA Money and Politics Report offers this report, which begins: “Differences over whether to require disclosure of the funding sources for political advertisements highlighted public comments submitted to the Federal Election Commission about a new regulation expected to be in place for the upcoming campaign season.” Meanwhile, the Center for Competitive Politics takes a more moderate position on disclosure in its comments than the position taken by the James Madison Center.
