Alabama Governor Robert Bentley’s office says that the Republican Governors Association picked up the tab for a trip the governor and staff took to the organization’s annual meeting last November. However, the reimbursement scheme the governor’s office says it used could put the governor afoul of Alabama campaign finance law.
