0.002 Percent of the 7.7 Million Registered Voters in Ohio Registered Illegally

This time, his office identified a total of 145 who were apparently registered illegally, the vast majority of which did not vote. Of that 145, 11 were from Lucas, two from Sandusky, and one each from Wood and Allen.

The 145 represent about 0.002 percent of the 7.7 million registered voters in Ohio.

They’ve been sent letters urging them to voluntarily remove themselves from the rolls.

“None of these affected the outcome of an election,” Mr. Husted said. “That’s the good news. But eventually if we don’t get to solving these problems, it will. That will be a sad day, and we don’t want that day to come.”

He stressed that in many of these cases, the registrations are honest mistakes.
