“Accepting Scalia’s Offer, Arizona Sues Obama Administration On Voting Rights”

TPM: “Arizona and Kansas have taken Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia’s suggestion and sued the Obama administration in a continuing effort by both states to require proof of citizenship in order to register to vote.”

This is an outgrowth of Arizona v. Inter-Tribal Council, as I’ve discussed in this Daily Beast piece (and this Slate piece asking why the Court’s liberals joined in the aspect of Justice Scalia’s opinion suggesting such a lawsuit and a strong view of voter qualifications questions.)
