House Democrats Holding Texas Forum on Voting Rights

Announcement via email:

Congressional Forum on Voting Rights

WASHINGTON – There is no right more fundamental to being an American than the right to vote. Indeed, our country was founded as a revolt against the denial of the right to voting representation. In spite of this, the past two years have witnessed a raft of new laws restricting access to the polls, threatening the constitutionally protected right to vote. These new restrictions amount to an out-and-out War on Voting. It is incumbent on every defender of the Constitution to fight to defend the rights it guarantees, including the right to vote.

Now, the Ranking Member of the House Subcommittee on Elections will convene a congressional forum to shed some light on the variety of threats to the right to vote, the impact they could have on our upcoming elections, and what we can and should do about it.
