“FEC Brief Asks Court to Maintain Ban On Campaign Money From Contractors”

Bloomberg BNA: “The Federal Election Commission is calling on a court to turn back a challenge to the federal ban on campaign money from government contractors, arguing that the case could lead to further “confusion and uncertainty” about campaign finance law just months before the November presidential election (Wagner v. FEC, D.D.C., No. 11-cv-1841, opposition filed 3/1/12). FEC lawyers filed an opposition brief March 1, trying to head off a bid for a preliminary injunction in a lawsuit filed on behalf of three individuals with relatively small government contracts.”
